HOW DOES IT WORK
Acne is the product of "androgen-induced excess sebum production” & “inflammation" and this mask is designed with various active ingredients to help counteract different factors involved in causing acne:
1. C.acne bacteria is a major inhabitant of the human skin; it feeds on sebum and produces free fatty acids which have pro-inflammatory and comedogenic properties; hence, when the skin microbe is out of balance, the over-growth of C.acnes induces inflammation and contributes to the development of acne. Our Multi Repair Rescue Masque is formulated with 3 distinct active agents to effectively optimize the skin microbiome, inhibit the C. acne bacteria, downregulate pro-inflammatory enzymes, and help your skin maintain balance.
2. Another major factor in causing acne is the overproduction of sebum which is caused by excess activity of enzyme 5α-reductase and too much androgen production. MICRO SILVER
Micro-silver particles work against acne by releasing positively charged silver ions to fight bacteria, stabilizing the skin microbiome, and providing high, controlled, and long-lasting support against the C. acne bacteria. Silver is not susceptible to antimicrobial resistance and the porous structure of micro-silver helps the particles to physically cling to the skin and remain on its surface to ensure safety.
NORWEIGAN SPRUCE
The extract from Norway spruce contains a composition of natural active substances which provide a unique three-fold effect to the skin; the antioxidants properties of this ingredient protect your skin and prevent DNA damage, while the anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties make it highly effective against the p.acne bacteria. It also offers high anti-inflammatory effects via the suppression of pro-inflammatory enzymes.
MACLURA COCHINCHINENSIS
To support the anti-bacterial properties of micro-silver, this mask also features a high-performance bioflavonoids complex derived from the leaves of Maclura cochinchinensis. This multifunctional active blend modulates the skin microbiome by selectively inhibiting the acne bacteria, while down-regulating the expression of both pro-inflammatory enzymes and the steroidogenic enzyme (5α-reductase) to normalize sebum production. Since This active complex has some retinoid-like properties, it provides some ageless benefits as well.
