Low Maintenance Brows For Summer
Let's face it. When summer is here, we really do opt for less is more when it comes to our routines. That doesn't mean we don't want to look good while we connect with the sun energy which tends to tire us out!
Many people ask me what to do with their eyebrows during the summer months. Do I recommend microblading or lamination, or just a regular wax and tint? This really does depend on each individual person. However, let me break some things down for you.
First, let's talk about what brow services we have to offer you:
Microblading: This is a form of semi-permanent eyebrow makeup. It is done with a fine blade and pigment. Realistic hair-like strokes are sketched into the skin and can last up to 2 years. Touch-ups are required for upkeep and can be as often as 6 months, 1 year, or longer depending on each skin type and lifestyle.
Brow lamination: This is a perm for the eyebrows. The brow hair is straightened using our Avari Beauty lamination solutions giving the illusion of longer, fuller, and thicker brow hair. The outcome is a similar look like microblading but lasts 6-8 weeks.
Brow wax & tint: We clean up your brow hair with a nicely heated soft wax and wax strips. After we do this, we add a tint to help fill them in which acts like a stain on your skin and brow hair.
Microblading vs Brow Lamination
If someone really doesn't want to do much to their eyebrows the best two options would be microblading or brow laminations. Some people don't have enough hair or experience bald patches in their eyebrows. Brow lamination may not be enough to help cover this problem whereas microblading is. However, microblading requires you to protect your brows from sun exposure while they heal and you'll need a couple of microblading sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart to complete the entire process. This may not be an option for someone who likes to be more outdoors at this time without worrying about their eyebrows as they heal.
Brow Wax & Tint
Brow waxes are great, but you do need to upkeep them more regularly. Tints, too, as they only last around 7-14 days. Because of this, I would say this is more brow maintenance.
Brow Lamination = Best Low Maintenance Option
If you have enough brow hair, then I would opt for a brow lamination for the most low maintenance option for summer. It lasts 6-8 weeks and creates full, fluffy, and healthy-looking brows (even for *some* of those who don't seem to have enough brow hair). It really just depends! Brow laminations pair so nicely with brow gels. You wake up, do your skincare routine, and can quickly apply a brow gel to style and set your brows in place...then you're out the door!
